We are proud to announce our new “Together for the Amazon” Program a series of long-term engagement initiatives aimed at protecting and increasing the conservation and sustainable development of the Amazon biome.

As announced this week by the Global CEO of JBS, Gilberto Tomazoni, the program includes:

• A new JBS Green Platform to leverage blockchain technology to extend livestock supplier monitoring (and zero-deforestation enforcement) to indirect suppliers by 2025
• A new JBS Fund for the Amazon to invest in the social and economic development and conservation of the Biome, with an initial contribution of R$ 250 million in the first five years. JBS will also match-fund third-party contributions to the Fund for the Amazon, with the ambition to reach R$ 1 billion by 2030.

Global CEO of JBS, Gilberto Tomazoni said, “Today, we’re publicly reiterating our commitment to protecting the Amazon. We hope our actions today will help accelerate the urgent fight against deforestation and safeguard the delicate bio-economy and sustainable agricultural practices and opportunities for social development.”
